Face 2 Face: Jeremy Aguero, Principal Analyst, Applied Analysis

June 06, 2003

Years in Nevada:
28.

Years with Firm: 6.

Type of business:

Fiscal, Economic, and Public Policy Consulting Firm.

Biggest business challenge:

Staying on the cutting edge of information and technology. Both are changing so quickly that we sometimes find ourselves behind where we would like to be.

What do you like best about your job?:

I enjoy the challenge. No two projects are exactly alike. Every day we are asked to look at our clients' problems in a different way or deal with challenging problems that are, at best, tangential to those we have dealt with before.

How do you prefer to spend time off work?:

Regretfully, I have little time outside of the office. What time I do have, I enjoy spending with my wife, two children, and close friends. I enjoy traveling and playing golf, and I am involved in a number of community events.

SOUTHERN NEVADA INDICATORS

What would you like your legacy to be?:

I think I would like to be remembered for being an analyst, as opposed to an advocate. I would like to be remembered as someone who gave time to the community because I believed the Nevada of tomorrow could be even better than the Nevada of today. Most importantly, I would like to be remembered as a good husband and father.

Favorite business book:

On War, by Carl Von Clausewitz.

Best business advice:

No one has all the answers, but everyone has something to contribute.
