Health Care, Education Top Concerns

Sound Off On THE RANT

March 23, 2010 - LAS VEGAS - The quality of health care and education tops the list of concerns for southern Nevada families, according to the 2010 Las Vegas Perspective.

When asked to rate their level of concern, 58.8 percent said they were “very concerned” about the state of health care costs.

Las Vegans have been vocal in the debate over health care reform, with 49 percent of respondents telling a FOX5 Web poll they did not support the bill that President Barack Obama signed Tuesday.

The report also found that 63.2 percent of people were “very concerned” about the quality of education in southern Nevada.

Recently the Clark County School District has posted an online survey to gauge the community’s thoughts on where it should cut $123 million from its budget.
