Campus For Hope

Campus For Hope
Applied Analysis was a key member of a team of government, philanthropic and private-sector partners working collaboratively to launch the Campus for Hope initiative. From the outset, we provided strategic counsel, staffing support and research-informed public policy guidance. Our work began with a review of the feasibility of the proposed project. It then evolved into support for the development and successful passage of Assembly Bill 528 during the 2023 Nevada Legislative Session, which created a funding framework for up to $100 million in public matching funds and $15 million in annual operational support for the project. We helped coordinate regional stakeholders who collaborated to design the project's construction and operational framework and contributed to the formation of working groups focused on service delivery, governance and long-term sustainability. As part of this effort, our team provided the staffing and logistical infrastructure needed to sustain momentum, including research, policy analysis, meeting coordination, agenda development and documentation. These activities supported the cultivation of relationships among state, local and nonprofit leaders and contributed directly to reaching key milestones, including legislative engagement, a shared services agreement and land lease with the State of Nevada and participating municipality agreements with local governments. Additionally, Applied Analysis led the submission of the Campus for Hope application to the Governor's Office of Economic Development, enabling the project to qualify for the maximum public funding allocation (i.e., $100 million). We also developed a pitch deck to support philanthropic engagement and coalition-building across corporate and nonprofit sectors.
